Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Senator Patti Anne Lodge moved to Idaho at age four.  She received a BA from Marylhurst University in Oregon and did graduate studies at Boise State University, Idaho State University, Northwest Nazarene University, and the University of Idaho.  Lodge is the former owner of Wind Ridge Vineyards. Senator Lodge served as the  media educator at Caldwell School District from 1968 to 1999 and media coordinator at Caldwell School District from 1982 to 1997.  As a member so the Idaho Senate, she has served as Chairman of the Judiciary Committee, Chairman of the Health and Welfare Committee, Co-Chairman of the Millennium Fund, Vice Chairman of the State Affairs Committee and was a member of the Legislative Council.
